The Master Sculptor

The sculptor saw inside the rock,

A beauty no one else could see.

He chiseled the rough spots away

Until the prisoner was free.

The master has a plan in mind

For each one, a unique design.

He chips away with tender touch

As the stubborn heart He refines.

Oh, let us be your masterpiece

And bring the glory to your name.

Then we may shine as a bright light

While your love and grace we proclaim.

Thanksgiving

Training my mind to treasure

His abundant gifts of love

As I stop to look around

Noticing nature’s beauty

Keeping track of these blessings

Seeking moments with the Father

Giving Him all the glory

Identifying His presents

Verbalizing my gratitude

Inscribing it on my heart

Never forgetting

God’s munificent measure of mercy

Father smooth the bumps of life away

I am like this pumpkin;
