He's Everywhere

I feel God in the gentle breeze

as it blows through emerald trees.

I see Him way up in the sky

in birds that flap their wings and fly.

As I smell a fragrant flower
I’m reminded of God’s power.

From seeds I watch new life grow

Even with my faith this is so.

As I touch a baby’s precious face

I feel my father’s sweet embrace.

In all this world signs of His grace

In heaven He’s reserved my place.

Father Dear

Father Dear

Hold my hand

My legs are wobbly and weak

Without You I can’t stand

Hold my hand

Father Dear

Don’t let go

Or I might stumble and fall

Won’t You please hear my call

Don’t let go

Father Dear

I’m Your child

Never go out of my sight

Hold me ever so tight

I’m Your child

He Colors My Life

My story is written day by day,

at times without color or sunshine ray.

My eyes are blind and I fail to see You,

then you clear my path and I get a view.

You bring the color back into my life,

amid all the anxiety and strife.

There have been those moments of feeling blue,
but You make my soul feel refreshed and new.

You can splash my life with various hues

of purple, orange, green, yellow and blues.

When there are incredible storms that brew

I know that You care and will see me through.

You also have adventures planned for me;

amazing moments which I now see.

I cannot fully understand Your love

until I see You in heaven above.

Hudson Lost His Mustache

Hudson Lost His Mustache

Hudson lost his mustache,
now where did it go?
Is it beneath his bed?
He’s looked high and low.

Hudson lost his mustache.
Now he’s very sad.
Give him a little clue,
he’ll be very glad.

Hudson lost his mustache,
Oh, where can it be?
It’s there on grandma’s lip.
At last he can see.

Going Home

I’ve finally begun to enjoy flying – at least the part

where the Captain’s voice comes over the intercom

saying: “We are now making our final descent into

Oklahoma City.”

I am afraid of heights and still can’t make myself

look out the window when we are taking off, but

there’s something thrilling about knowing I am
almost home.

I look out the window and see windmills and land
that looks like a patchwork quilt. I see rivers and

then houses.

Finally, I see the lights on the runway. Then I
wait for it … the plane touches the ground and I

am home.

At 67 I know I am getting closer to the time when
I will get to my eternal home. I am looking
forward to hearing my Father’s voice at last as
He says: “Welcome Home.” That will be the most

amazing homecoming ever!

Tangerine Sky

Tangerine Sky

His message in the sky said, “I love you”.

A tender written love note for my eyes

He painted tangerine and yellow hue

A splendid sunrise of divine surprise.

His presence made known in the sparkling dew

And the bounty of blessings He supplies.

My Savior died for me, He bore the nails.

His fragrant off’ring showed how love prevails.
