II Peter 1:5-7

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness, and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me

Making Him the joy of my life
Naming all the ways He loves me
Opening each one of His gifts
Perceiving I'm His precious child
Gratefully choosing to see His presence

God, You Are the One

You put the sparkles in children’s eyes,
give  birds their melodious song,
number all the stars in the skies
and make the elephants so strong.

You are the one who makes each cloud
and allows rain on us to fall.
You make the storms with thunder loud
and give the sun its wake-up call.

You give sunset breathtaking hue
and make leaves which dance in the wind.
You give us a heavenly view
of a love which never will end.

You are God of the universe,
Almighty God, the One Most High;
Love and grace to all you disperse
You are the one I’ll magnify.

Joy for the Journey

My God's abundant love and grace
inspires joy on my journey,
allowing me to run through rivers of rain,
sing in raging storms,
to dance in dry desert seasons of life.

Day After Day

God blesses me day after day
He holds my hand all the way
When pain and grief fill my heart
His comfort and love He imparts
God blesses me day after day.

God blesses me day after day
While down on my knees I pray.
Though lonely and dark be the night
Still He is my guiding light
God blesses me day after day.

God blesses me day after day.
He’s the Potter and I am the clay.
He’s gently molding me
And one day His plan I’ll see
God blesses me day after day.

God blesses me day after day
With hope, smiles and sun’s golden ray.
Because of His love I will sing
A song of praise to my King
God blesses me day after day.

My Silent Cries

At times the heart in silence cries
And words cannot express the pain.
Dark shadows seem to follow me
And only God can light my path.

But still I’ll praise Him through the tears,
With quivering lips I shall sing.
I’ll count my blessings one by one
And feel God’s presence and His love.

Though darkness makes it hard to walk.
My God lights one step at a time.
Each step I walk by faith in Him
For He will guide and lead me home.

The Master Sculptor

The sculptor saw inside the rock,
A beauty no one else could see.
He chiseled the rough spots away
Until the prisoner was free.

The master has a plan in mind
For each one, a unique design.
He chips away with tender touch
As the stubborn heart He refines.

Oh, let us be your masterpiece
And bring the glory to your name.
Then we may shine as a bright light
While your love and grace we proclaim.

Songs in the Night

When darkness surrounds
And trials abound
Though no light appears
Lord I know you are near.

Chorus:  You give me songs in the night,
             Joy in the morning,
              Strength for the day,
              And hope for eternity.

When my world looks bleak
your face I will seek
You say you'd won't leave
And Jesus I believe.

Chorus:   You give me songs in the night,
              Joy in the morning,
              Strength for the day,
              And hope for eternity.

My blessings increase
Of  love, grace, and peace.
You died to save me
Soon heaven I will see.

Chorus:   You give me songs in the night,
              Joy in the morning,
              Strength for the day,
              And hope for eternity.

Thanksgiving

Training my mind to treasure
His abundant gifts of love
As I stop to look around
Noticing nature’s beauty
Keeping track of these blessings
Seeking moments with the Father
Giving Him all the glory
Identifying His presents
Verbalizing my gratitude
Inscribing it on my heart
Never forgetting
God’s munificent measure of mercy
