II Peter 1:5-7

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness, and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

Without my God (Song) rewritten

Without my God

there’d be no birds

sweet melody

there’d be no stars

to light the sky

Without my God

there’d be no sun

to rise or set

there’d be no flow’rs

with beauty rare

Without my God

there’d be no hills

majestic view

there’d be no streams

to gaze upon

Chorus:

Without my God

there’d be no hope, no grace,

no love, no joy,

Without my God.

The Friends Tea Party

Patience the Pony was giggling with glee

while jabbering to her sweet friend Annsleigh.

A tea party might be fabulous fun.

They thought of friends to invite one by one.

There was Jenny Giraffe and Barney Bat,

Penelope Pig, Kate and Kitty Cat,

Heidi Hippo, Beth Bunny, Freddy Frog,

Benjamin Bear, Debbie and Danny Dog.

They'd have fancy sandwiches without crust,

tea with sugar and cream a must

cupcakes with yummy frosting piled on top.

Beth Bunny ate some and began to hop.

Patience Pony danced to a lovely tune

and every friend was given a balloon.

Annsleigh and Freddy Frog sang a duet

ending this day they would never forget.

Seeking

Earnestly seeking Jesus

and walking in His light.

Daily in His presence

for He is my delight.

Hunting heavenly treasure

seeking it every day.

Looking at the road map

showing me the right way.

Talking with God, my Father

knowing He’s my best friend.

Praying to do His will

and serve Him to the end.

Search Me O God

Search Me, O God

Search me, O God and know my heart

Show me the darkness within

Then convict me and transform me

to be more like Christ.

Test me and know my anxious thoughts

Reveal all my fears to me

Help me see my need for you

then in you I will trust.

See if I’ve done anything wrong

Any sin that offends you

Show me my sin, help me live

my life doing your will.

Search my heart and test me O God

Show me the sin within me

Then lead me along the path

of everlasting life.

Father, Giver of All Good Gifts

Color of leaves change in the fall

Crisp cool air tells winter is near

Dancing leaves play and have a ball

Every day your blessings appear

Perfume of roses delights my nose

Laughter of children thrills my soul

Jesus my Savior who arose

The One who died to make me whole

Golden sunshine streams through the trees

Songs of birds float across the air

Thoughts of God bring me to my knees

All nature His glory declares

Mighty Father each day your bless

and give me all things which I need

Your love and grace I must confess

as I praise all your wondrous deeds.

I'll Never Stop Counting Gifts

Give me a song that I can sing

One to worship You as my King.

May I praise You for all You do

And for the sunset’s gorgeous hue.

You’re the giver of all good gifts.

My soul you restore and uplift.

How can I number the gifts You give

When You give them each day I live.

LORD, I can never stop the count.

Your gifts flow like an endless found.

Father God, You meet all my needs

and I'll tell all Your wondrous deeds.

Counting Gifts

Thank you God

for the whisper of wind in trees

the happy dance of emerald leaves

perfume of roses delights my nose

thoughts of my Savior who arose.

Geese honking high above as they fly

cloud formations up in the sky

sweet songs of birds that thrill my soul

as around a lovely trail I stroll.

All of these many gifts I can claim

as I number each one and name.

Look at all my Father has done

Most precious is the gift of His Son.

Beauty Doesn't Happen Overnight

Beauty in a tree in the Fall is a process. It slowly

changes and turns into a beautiful flaming red,

orange, or bright yellow. Beauty in a person doesn’t

happen overnight either. Beauty on the inside. It

is years of prayer; asking God to help us get rid of

our flaws and overcome weaknesses. We still need

a lot of grace.

It is a process that takes time. Eph 4:25-32 tells us

we must get rid of certain things in our lives like

lying and put on truth. Do not steal, but work so you

can give to others. Don’t let unwholesome words

come out of your mouth, but speak things that will

lift others up.

Also, all trees do not change colors at the same time.

They do it when they are ready. All people don’t

change at the same pace either. Our faith matures

at different times. We should not judge one

another’s faith. We should encourage one another

and lift each other up.
