A Lamb Gone Astray


A little lamb
Wandered away
Thinking he would find
Greener pastures

Then he looked up
Only to find he was
In an alarming place

There were wolves
Surrounding him
Poised to pounce

Then his Shepherd
Came into view
He ran and placed Himself
In front of the lamb
Ready to give His life
For the lamb
He loved
