Damaged

Damaged, frozen, broken, and bent
Shattered by everyday events
Worthless words cast into the wind
Cruel messages to hearts send
Scarred is the heart and mind by these
Thoughtless words said not just to tease
We should reflect before we speak
Kind and compassionate words seek
Gentle ones which strengthen are key
to help heal hearts and set minds free
Speak words which build up, not destroy
Those which lighten the heart with joy
