Sometimes
life’s like a baseball game;
though
it may not bring you fame.
Perhaps
you’ve been thrown a curve ball
and
your back’s up against a wall.
You
long to run around each base,
but
you have to walk, you can’t race.
In
life you can’t stand to go slow.
You
don’t want to stop, you must go.
Then
there’s that moment you strike out,
all
of your abilities you doubt.
No
longer do you want to play,
on
the bench is the place to stay.
Then
you finally hit the mark
and
the ball soars out of the park.
You
feel this game of life you’ve won
when
you hit your golden home run.
